Observe the
I/O Setup
page on the right hand side of the
Installation
dialog box.
Every interface is presented as a small "block diagram".

On the relevant serial line communication, select
the inspection point at the left side of the port icon
in the “block diagram”.
The
Port Monitor
dialog box opens.
The
Port Monitor
dialog box allows you to study the communication stream on the
chosen serial line port.
Note
The
Port Monitor
dialog box is a tool for debugging purposes. It is neither required nor
intended for normal operation of the TV80.

Verify that the communication port is functional. Verify that the data flow on the input
line (
Rx Data
text field) is operational.
In order to monitor this data flow, the peripheral system must be active and transmitting
information to the TV80.
If the data flow is not present, we suggest the following actions:
• Check that the peripheral system has been switched on.
• Check that the peripheral system is in fact transmitting information.
• Check the cables.
• Check that you have made the physical connection to the communication port that
you are monitoring.

Checking the sensors readings
The
Measurements
dialog box displays all the readings the TV80 is currently receiving
from the sensors installed. Every external equipment connected to the TV80 offers one or
more measurements.
Prerequisites
This procedure assumes that the relevant sensor has been connected to the TV80 Processor
Unit.
Context
In the
Measurements
dialog box, you can easily see all the measurements received in a
specific port and if the TV80 is validating it. With just a look you can easily identify
