Orientation of the Hull Unit

As a general recommendation, the hull unit shall be oriented with the hoist/lower motor
pointing aft. If this orientation makes it difficult to access the Motor Control Unit, the
hull unit may be rotated to the most suitable direction.

The physical distance between
the Transceiver Unit and the hull
unit is limited by the length of the
transducer cables.

The Power Supply Unit is mounted
on the bulkhead in the vicinity of the
Transceiver Unit. It can be mounted
over, under or besides the Transceiver
Unit. The physical distance between
the Transceiver Unit and the Power
Supply Unit is limited by the length
of the Ethernet and power cables.

Note

Irrespective of the physical hull unit
orientation, the transducer shall not
be mechanically aligned. Hull unit alignment is done in the SC90 software by rotating
the echo presentation in the display view.
