Introduction

The  ES120-2.5x10  is  a  split-beam  transducer  incor-

porating 172 piezo-ceramic elements distributed over 

four quadrants. Its beam pattern has an elliptical cross-

section and the side lobes in the vertical plane are very 

low.  This  unit  is  well  suited  for  horizontal  ranging 

in shallow waters using the narrow beam in the verti-

cal plane. The following specications are valid when 

all four quadrants are connected in parallel.
