5 DESCRIPTION OF THE APPLIANCE
5.1
Characteristics
The
Sime
DUETTO HE EV
cast iron and condensing thermal units are integrated systems with diesel Low NOx blown-air burner. They are
also equipped with a heat recovery device, flue gas side, which classifies them as “condensing”. They are specially designed for users
who privilege high performances, silent operation and compact dimensions.
– The
DUETTO HE EV
thermal unit is the version for space heating and for the instantaneous production of domestic hot water. It can
be a TYPE B23P (open), if it draws combustion air from the environment in which it is installed, or TYPE C23P (sealed), if it draws
combustion air from the outside. When the thermal unit draws combustion air from the room in which it is installed, this room MUST
be equipped with adequate aeration vents sized according to the laws in force in the country of use.
– The burner combustion is optimally balanced and guarantees high performances, resulting is considerably lower running costs.
5.2
Operation
Prior to starting up the thermal unit, we suggest setting the
heating thermostat (4) to roughly 3/4 of the adjustment range
(roughly 75°C), shifting the switch (9) to Winter then activating
the general and main switches (8) to power the system electri-
cally. The green signalling LED (3) will light up to signal that the
system is powered.
When a heat request arrives, with the thermostat in request
mode, the fuel will start heating for a few minutes with the
burner stationary, then burner pre-ventilation will start followed
by the subsequent ignition of the flame and the starting up of the
system pump.
The flame will remain on until the temperature set through the
heating thermostat (4) of the control panel has been reached,
while the system pump continues to operate in order to use the
heat generated (available). The burner will then switch on and
off in an alternating manner until the temperature requested by
the room thermostat is reached.
The temperature of the water contained in the cast iron body will
appear on the thermometer (2).
If there is a domestic hot water request, during the heating
mode, the thermal unit will automatically switch the operating
mode to satisfy the current request.
