Assembly and setting up
WARNING! RISK OF FIRE!
►
Never place the appliance underneath wall
cupboards or next to curtains, cupboard
walls or other flammable objects.
►
Always place the appliance on a heat-resistant
surface.
1) Remove all of the parts from the box and
remove the packaging material and any
protective film.
2) Clean all of the components as described in
the Chapter “Cleaning and care” to remove
any packaging residue. Ensure that all parts
are completely dry.
3) Place the appliance on a clean and level heat-
resistant surface. Ensure that you do not place
the appliance directly next to a wall or a cup-
board.
Each person should have unimpaired access to
one of the pans
.
4) Place the stone griddle
on the base unit so
that the stone griddle
is firmly in place.
5) Slide the pans
into the appliance.
6) Insert the plug into a mains power socket.
Before first use
1) Slide the pans
into the appliance.
2) Move the ON/OFF switch
to “I” and allow
the appliance to heat up for 20 minutes.
3) After 20 minutes, move the ON/OFF switch
back to “O”.
4) Then disconnect the plug and allow the appli-
ance to cool down.
NOTE
►
The first time the appliance heats up, a small
amount of smoke and odour may be gener-
ated due to production-related residue. This
is completely normal and is completely harm-
less. Provide sufficient ventilation by opening
a window, for example.
5) Clean the stone griddle
as described in
Chapter “Cleaning and Care”.
6) Clean the pans
as described in Chapter
“Cleaning and Care”.
7) Ensure that all parts are completely dry before
operating the appliance.
The appliance is now ready for use.
Operation
Raclette
1) Lightly oil the inside of the pans
and the top
of the stone griddle
.
2) Insert the plug into a mains power socket.
3) Move the ON/OFF switch
to “I”. The inte-
grated control lamp on the ON/OFF switch
lights up. If you only want to use the raclette,
allow the appliance to heat up for 5 minutes.
If you want to use the stone griddle
at the
same time to grill food, wait around 20 minutes
until the stone griddle
has heated up (see
Chapter “Grill”). The pans
not need to be
inserted into the appliance to heat them up.
4) Fill the pans
with the desired ingredients.
Ensure that the pans
are not overfilled,
otherwise the food could get too close to the
heating element
and even touch it!
5) Put the pans
into the appliance. The slight
recess in the appliance helps to keep the pans
in place.
6) Remove the pans
from the appliance as
soon as the contents are cooked.
