SOUP (SMOOTH)
(13)
This function is used to prepare creamy soups which, in theory, no longer contain
any lumps of food. The contents are stirred and heated alternately.
The process ends automatically after approx. 20.5 minutes.
SOUP (CHUNKY)
(14)
This function is used to prepare soups that still contain small lumps of food (e.g.
vegetable pieces). The contents are stirred and heated alternately.
The process ends automatically after approx. 30.5 minutes.
Making soup
1.
Chop the ingredients into approx. 2cm sized pieces and add to the blender jug (3).
2.
Fill the blender jug (3) with water or stock to at least the "SOUP MIN 0.5 L" mark and not further
than the "SOUP MAX 1.2 L" mark.
If you want to enhance your soup with starch, flour, cream or milk, only add these once the
actual preparation cycle has finished. Otherwise these ingredients can burn. You can then mix
the contents again briefly by pressing the PULSE (8) button.
3.
Place the lid (2) with the measuring cap inserted (1) on the blender jug (3) and lock into place.
4.
Connect the power cable (9) of the mains plug to a live wall outlet. You will then hear a beep.
5.
Press the ON/OFF button (16) on the control panel (7). A beep will now sound and the LEDs for the
control panel (7) buttons will flash.
6.
Press the SOUP (CHUNKY) (14) or SOUP (SMOOTH) (13) button on the control panel (7) to start
the process. The LED for the selected function will now light up.
The contents are stirred and heated alternately. Once preparation has finished, 10 beeps will sound
and the LEDs on the bottom row of the control panel (7) will flash.
If necessary, the cooking process can also be manually stopped early. To do so, press the
ON/OFF button (16) on the control panel (7).
7.
Switch the appliance off and carefully remove the lid (2).
Risk of burns!
The lid (2) and blender jug (3) get very hot during operation of the soupmaker. Be careful not
to burn yourself. Wear oven gloves if necessary.
8.
Pour the contents out of the blender jug (3).
Strainer
The strainer (C) is used to prepare soups with dual consistency: on the one hand, the ingredients inside the
strainer (C) are puréed (i.e. smooth) and on the other, the ingredients outside the strainer (C) are not
blended. This means, for example, you can make soups that are smooth but still contain some vegetable
and meat pieces.
1.
Insert the strainer (C) into the blender jug (3). To do so, place it onto the centre of the cutting blade.
