1: Introduction

USB ports and one serial port have been incorporated into the control panel to provide front side
USB and COM port access.

Serverboard

The H2106-G7 server chassis is an ATX form factor chassis designed to be used in a 2U
rackmount configuration. The serverboard provides one UIO slot, four low-profile PCIe
expansion slots, one DB-9 COM port, a VGA port, two USB 2.0 ports, PS/2 mouse and keyboard
ports and two Gigabit LAN ports. A dedicated RJ-45 IPMI LAN port is also supported.

shows a general block diagram of the H2106-G7 processor and I/O chipset.

Cooling System

The 2U server chassis has an innovative cooling design that includes six 8-cm hot-plug system
cooling fans located in the middle section of the chassis. An air shroud channels the airflow from
the system fans to efficiently cool the processor area of the system. Each power supply module
also includes a cooling fan.
