4 Installation
Actuator failure/damage to the connector insert
The connector insert in the device will be damaged if the torque applied to
the mating connector is too high.
`
Tighten the mating connector using the torque-limiting wrench of
the relevant connector vendor. Pay attention to the tightening torque
specified by the manufacturer.
`
Using a torque wrench tighten the mating connector (see chapter
,
and
). Manufacturer's recommendation of a suitable torque can
be obtained on request.
Tightening torque: 0.6 Nm (M12)
`
Do not transmit torque/forces into the device via the housing of the
mating connector or cable. Tighten only the securing nut of the mat-
ing connector.
Loss of type of connection/shielding
If the torque of the mating connector is too low this will result in loss of
type of protection and/or shielding.
`
Tighten the mating connector using the torque-limiting wrench of
the relevant connector vendor. Pay attention to the tightening torque
specified by the manufacturer.
`
Using a torque wrench tighten the mating connector (see chapter
8.1,
and
). Manufacturer's recommendation of a suitable torque can
be obtained on request.
Tightening torque: 0.6 Nm (M12)
If the use of the torque-limiting wrench is not possible due to the mount-
ing situation, execute electrical installation before mechanical installa-
tion.
