2.3 Safety Instructions
The safety instructions must be read before installation and set-up of
the servo drive system, to prevent injury or material damage. It is fun-
damental that the technical data and information for connection re-
quirements be followed (on the nameplate and in the documentation).
Only qualified personnel are permitted to perform activities such as
transport, installation, setup and maintenance. Properly qualified per-
sons are those who are familiar with the transport, assembly, installa-
tion, setup and operation of the product.
The manufacturer of the machine must generate a safety analysis for
the entire machine. The manufacturer has to take appropriate measures
to ensure that unforeseen movements cannot cause injury or equip-
ment damage.
Inappropriate handling of the servo drive system or ignoring the warn-
ings below and inappropriate engagement in the safety arrangement
can result in equipment damage, personal injury, electric shock or
death in an extreme situation.
