16. USB Function
ESD protections are used on the 2 USB signals. This function can be electrically disabled when the
special soldering is not soldered from J301 to J305. For example, having it unsoldered allows for
transmission of undisturbed signals via the external connector (J1100) to an external interface board.
By default, the USB signals are available on its dedicated connector J300 (J301 to J305 soldered).
16.1. USB Connector (J300)
J300 is a USB type B receptacle.

Two others signals are available on the Development Kit, as listed below.
USB-CN (on J303) drives the pull-up on DP (SoftConnect
™).
USB-DET (on J305) for the USB detection interruption.
16.2.
LED Signalization (“VPAD-USB”)
The
“VPAD-USB” indicator is a green LED activated by the presence of VBUS (when plugged into the
USB connector).
The power supply for the USB interface in the module is provided by the USB connector. If a USB
cable is plugged in the LED light and VPAD-USB (the output of a regulator (LDO)) is 3.3v.
Note:
Special solder (J304) must be soldered to power the USB interface in the WMP150. For this reason
J304 is soldered by default.
