Childproof lock

You can lock the washing machine to 

prevent the functions you have set from 

being changed inadvertently. To do this, 

activate the childproof lock after starting 

the programme.

To 

activate/deactivate

 the childproof 

lock, press and hold Start/Reload for 

approx. five seconds. The 

E

 symbol 

appears in the display panel.

w

 lights up: The childproof lock is 

active.

w

 flashes: The childproof lock is 

active and the programme selector 

was adjusted. To prevent the 

programme from stopping, turn the 

programme selector back to the 

original programme. The symbol 

lights up again.

Note:  

The childproof lock can remain 

activated until you wish to start the next 

programme, even after switching off the 

machine. 

You must then deactivate the childproof 

lock before starting the programme and 

activate it again as necessary once the 

programme has started.

Adding laundry

After starting the programme, you can 

add or remove laundry as required.
To do this, press the Start/

Reload

 

button. 
The "Start/Reload" indicator lamp 

flashes and the machine checks 

whether it is possible to add laundry. 

Note:  

Do not leave the washing 

machine door open for too long when 

adding laundry as water from the 

laundry may leak out.

If, in the display panel:

Both

 the 

YES

 and 

v

 symbols light 

up, it is possible to add laundry.

NO

 flashes, wait until the 

YES

 and 

 

symbols light up. 

Do not open the washing machine 

door until 

both

 the 

YES

 and 

 

symbols are lit.

NO

 lights up, it is not possible to add 

laundry. 

For safety reasons, the washing 

machine door remains locked when 

the water level or temperature is 

high, or while the drum is rotating, 

and it is not possible to add laundry.

To continue the programme, press 

the 

Start

/Reload button. The 

programme continues automatically.

Changing the programme

If you have started the wrong 

programme by mistake, you can 

change the programme as follows:

Press Start/

Reload

2.

Select the other programme.

3.

Press 

Start

/Reload

 

. The new 

programme starts from the 

beginning.

Cancel the programme

Programmes at high temperatures:

Reload

To cool the laundry: Select
