5.1
Commissioning with PC or mobile device
You need an Internet connection for the integrated functions of the VersiCharge Wallbox to
connect to Siemens Device Management. The connection is set up during the commissioning
described here. Without an Internet connection, the VersiCharge Wallbox can be used but
without the following functions:
•
Automatic firmware update
•
Status display in the VersiCharge app
•
Delay function in the VersiCharge app
Preparing commissioning
Commission the charging unit either with your smartphone using the VersiCharge app or
with a PC tool.
For a single VersiCharge Wallbox, we recommend the VersiCharge app on a smartphone.
To commission multiple devices in a network, use the "VersiCharge Configurator" PC tool.
You can find additional information in the download area of the respective tools.
Commissioning with the VersiCharge app
To perform the commissioning with the VersiCharge app, follow these instructions:
1.
Install the VersiCharge app from the Google Play Store (
) or the
Apple App Store (
https://www.apple.com/ios/app-store/
) on your mobile device.
2.
Create a user account in the app

Change password
–
Set notifications
–
Manage contact details
3.
Connect your smartphone to the Wi-Fi of the Wallbox
4.
Connect the Wallbox to the Internet. The following options are available for this:

Mobile Internet (SIM card only in the Parent device)
–
Wi-Fi
–
Ethernet
5.
Connect the Wallbox with Siemens Device Management. This takes place automatically.
6.
Assign a descriptive name for the VersiCharge Wallbox.
7.
Check the settings.
