Safety instructions
Classification and meaning of signal words
DANGER
Imminent danger!
May cause serious bodily injury or danger to life!
Symbols and their meaning
Electrical voltage
The commissioning work may only be performed by specially trained professionals.
The safety regulations, particularly the prevention of electrical shocks, must be consci-
entiously followed.
Hazardous voltages exist in the AC-power inlet (mains terminals, mains fuses)
External voltages can be present in the relay modules Z3B171 to the fire control equip-
ment
Assemblies and connecting terminals with external voltages must be labeled with
”Danger, external voltage!”
The mains supply line to the FC330A shall be a separate circuit with separate and
clearly marked fuse(s) or circuit breaker.
The system ground must be connected in accordance with local regulations.
Do not apply the AC line voltage until the equipment is ready for the initial power UP.
Secure mains cable with cable clamp, detail see pages 38, 41
Never short-circuit the battery terminals; contact of the housing parts with the battery
terminals must be avoided.
For the duration of the commissioning and inspection work, make sure that:
Unwanted activation of the remote transmission equipment is reliably prevented.
The fire department has previously been informed before the remote transmission
equipment is activated for test purposes.
Activation of fire control operations which could cause costly damage is reliably pre-
vented
The activation of fire controls is reliable blocked until the final testing and the handing
over of the system to the customer
The responsible person is present when equipment supplied by other vendors is acti-
vated.
For work in explosion hazard areas the applicable safety precautions must be ob-
served.
