About the Service Program PowerSys
The Service program PowerSys is required for commissioning, maintenance, and diagnosis of the PowerLink or
SWT 3000 units. The following description applies to the program versions P3.5.x and higher. The term SWT
3000 is employed for stand-alone protection signaling units and iSWT for devices integrated in PowerLink.

Installation of the Service Program PowerSys
With the service program PowerSys versions P3.5.x and higher, multiple installation is possible. Older versions
can be removed.
You can uninstall older PowerSys versions via Start > Settings > Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs
by clicking Remove.

NOTE
Data files stored in older versions, for example, in C:\Program Files\PowerSys\P3.x.y\DeviceFiles are not
uninstalled and may be used again after reinstalling the older version.
The new service program PowerSys is delivered on a DVD. Run the setup.exe for the installation. The
program leads you through the installation.
