Battery unit
Use of non-approved or damaged battery units may result in damage to the device or in the
environment.
Only use the battery type approved by the manufacturer. Before you install or remove a battery
unit, make sure that it is not damaged.
Note
The performance of the battery is impaired if the ambient temperature is too high or too low
● A low ambient temperature causes a voltage drop in the battery unit, possibly to a point that
the device can no longer be operated.
● A high ambient temperature causes limitation of the power of the battery unit due to self
discharge.
Note
Minimizing current consumption with the multidrop mode
To minimize the power consumption, we recommend HART communication between field
devices and the WirelessHART adapter in multidrop mode. Here, the analog current signal is
frozen at 4 mA.
