WARNING
Use in hazardous zones
When the SITOP PSU8600 power supply system is installed in a hazardous zone (Ex II 3G
Ex nA nC IIC T4 Gc, Ex II 3G Ex nA IIC T4 Gc, Ex II 3G Ex nA IIC T5 Gc), then it must be
accommodated in a distribution box with IP54 degree of protection or higher.
NOTICE
Basic device and expansion modules should be installed in a housing or a control cabinet.
The SITOP PSU8600 power supply system is a built-in device. It must be installed in a
housing or control cabinet, to which only qualified personnel have access.
4.1
Connecting plug
The basic unit and the system components are connected with one another using the
connecting plug

at the upper side of the devices. The procedure to establish a connection
is described in Chapter "Rail mounting (Page 118)".
Before you remove the basic unit or supplementary modules, you must first release the
corresponding connecting plugs. The procedure to release a connecting plug is described in
Chapter "Removing (Page 124)".
