Connecting outputs of the basic unit in parallel
Two outputs of the basic unit can be connected in parallel to supply a load branch with a
current that is higher than the continuous maximum current of an individual output of the
basic unit. This increases the available current rating.
Outputs 1 and 2 or 3 and 4 of the basic unit can be operated in parallel.
The switchover to parallel operation means that the outputs involved are synchronized and
controlled together.
Note
The switchover to parallel operation is only permissible when the power supply system is in a
no-voltage state.
The switchover is made at selector switch (see operator controls) with the designation
"P1+2"
⑨
for outputs 1 and 2, or "P3+4"
⑩
for outputs 3 and 4.
When delivered, DIP switches "P1+2" and "P3+4" are in position "OFF" (parallel connection
deactivated).
