Configuration settings can be entered by using a PC and the software program DIGSI

®

 

and transferred via the operating interface of the device or via the service interface on 
the rear. Operation using DIGSI

®

 is described in the SIPROTEC

®

4 System Descrip-

tion, order no. E50417-H1176-C151.

Entry of password No. 7 (for setting modification) is required to modify configuration 
settings. Without the password, the settings may be read, but may not be modified and 
transmitted to the device.

The functional scope with the available options is set in the 

Functional Scope

 dialog 

box to match plant requirements.
