Fuse Failure
Monitor

either be switched off or operated in one of the two possible operating modes. If the
parameter is set to

Without FFM

, a fuse failure (failure of the measuring voltage) is

always detected when the voltage has dropped below 5 V while at the same time an
operating current is flowing. This setting should be chosen if it has been ensured that
the short-circuit currents occurring at the device amounts to at least 1.2 In. With the
setting

Without FFM

, a fuse failure is detected with a delay of 5 s.

If this is not the case, select the setting

With FFM

. With this setting, the device also

checks whether a non-steady process is detected in the current path at the same time
as the voltage dip. In this case a fuse failure will not be detected until 10 s after the
voltage dip, provided that the currents are in the operating current range.
