Repair
You are not allowed to perform a fault search or repairs on a defective device. The exception to this is repla-
cing the fuse F1 on the printed circuit board assembly. Special electronic components are used in the injection
unit 7XT71 and these may only be replaced by the manufacturer according to the directives for electrostatic
sensitive devices (ESD).

If you suspect a defect in the device, Siemens recommends sending the entire device to the plant of the
manufacturer.

If possible, use the original transport packaging or equivalent.
Replacing the Fuse F1
The power supply of the device is protected using a T2A/250V fuse. The fuse is located in a snap holder on the
printed circuit board assembly and is accessible after the pluggable printed circuit board assembly is removed
from the housing.

To replace the fuse F1, remove the pluggable printed circuit board assembly according to chapter
5.2.2 Installing and Removing the Pluggable Printed Circuit Board Assembly .

Remove the defective fuse F1 from the snap holder.

Insert the new T2A/250V fuse into the snap holder.
