Measures of the operating company 

The safety of a system in which the analyzer is integrated is the responsibility of the 

operating company. 

External line fuse  

An external line fuse must be provided in the power supply. The recommended rating for the 

device is 16 A slow-blow. 

 

 

Note 
When switching-on, the SIPROCESS UV600 briefly requires a current larger than the rated 

current (approximate values: 30 A with 230 V AC or 60 A with 115 V AC power supply). 

Therefore fuses with slow-blow tripping characteristic must be used. 

 

External power switch  

 

 

WARNING 

Endangering of electric safety resulting from live power supply 
If the power supply to the analyzer or to the cables cannot be switched off using a 

disconnector, this could result in an electrical accident. 

•

 

Install a mains disconnection device with which the power supply to the device can be 

interrupted in accordance with DIN EN 61010 in the direct vicinity of the device (see 

rating plate for possible load). This mains disconnection device must be readily 

accessible at all times. 

•

 

Identify this mains disconnection device distinctly and unambiguously. 

•

 

Note that the power supply may only be switched on again following completion of 

connection/maintenance work by the associated personnel with observation of the 

applicable safety regulations. 

 

 

WARNING 

Endangering of electric safety resulting from power cord of incorrect rating 
When using a removable power cord, an electrical accident could occur if the specifications 

are not correctly adhered to. 
Always observe the exact specifications in the manual when using a removable power cord 

(see section ).
