6.5.1 Notes on selection connection cables
Note
Terminal ranges of the cable glands
Use cables matched to the terminal ranges of the cable glands:
● Cable gland M25 x 1.5 (nickel-plated brass), terminal range 14 ... 22 mm
● Cable gland M20 x 1.5 (nickel-plated brass), terminal range 6.1 ... 11.5 mm
● Cable gland M20 x 1.5 (nickel-plated brass), terminal range 9.5 ... 15.9 mm

IP55 can only be guaranteed if you use cables with the appropriate properties.
Note
Strain relief
The cable gland for strain relief has a restraining capacity in accordance with DIN EN 50262
Class B.
If necessary, provide an external strain relief.
6.5.2 Terminal block
Overview
All electric connections and also the signal connections of the field control unit are present on
the terminal block on the DIN rail in the field control unit. Also connect the cable coming from
the field module here. The cable connections on the device side of the field module are already
preassembled when delivered.
Note
Strain relief of the connecting cables
Make sure cables are routed without force so that the strain relief of the cable gland is not
overloaded.
If necessary, install an external strain relief.
The following graphic shows the position of the covers for the terminal block and the Ethernet
connection panel:
