Fault reporting through diagnostics data
The device-internal monitoring functions recognize specific faults in the HCS3200 heating
controller. The corresponding information is provided in the diagnostics data.
Causes of error and possible remedies
Power output fault
Possible causes / Corrective action
Heating element defective (error code 1) Corrective action: Switch off machine, check ca-
bling/heating element and rectify fault, restart
SSR breakdown (error code 2)
Solid state relay (SSR) is defective ⇒ Return device.
Incoming fuse tripped (error code 3)
Corrective action: Switch off machine, check
fuse/cabling/heating element and rectify fault, restart
Outgoing fuse tripped or SSR has high
resistance (error code 4)
Corrective action: Switch off machine, check
fuse/cabling/heating element and rectify fault, restart
Solid state relay (SSR) is defective => Return device
Overtemperature
Possible causes / corrective action
Temperature in housing >70 °C
If an excessively high temperature occurs in the enclosure,
this means the power output module is operating outside
the performance profile.
At an excessively high temperature: The heating is
switched off automatically by the device.
Corrective action:

Check the status of the internal fan in the diagnostics
data
•
Switch off the machine, rectify the fault (e.g. cooling
malfunction), restart

Fan defective
Check temperature if fault is reported. Corrective action:
Replace fans promptly.
