Configuring safety-relevant components
6.2.1
Overview
The following handling overview (as example) and the associated descriptions illustrate the
special issues when configuring Safety Integrated with a SINUMERIK MC compared to a CPU
S7-1500. Consequently, the overview serves only as an introduction to the configuring and
programming of STEP 7 Safety Advanced with SINUMERIK.
Precondition
● The following TIA Portal software is installed and licensed:
– SIMATIC STEP 7 Professional V16
SIMATIC STEP 7 Safety Advanced V16
– SINUMERIK MC STEP 7 Toolbox V16
– Startdrive V16
– SINAMICS firmware V5.2
● The non-safety-relevant components have been configured.
● The SINUMERIK MC is inserted.
● SINUMERIK PLC basic program and standard PLC user program exist in a project.
● The interfaces are networked with one another via the required PROFINET interfaces.
