It makes sense and we recommend that the drive is shut down before you activate the "Two-
channel firing pulse inhibit" function.
• You must manually shutdown the drive if you activate the firing pulse inhibit using a
mushroom pushbutton.
• If the firing pulse inhibit is initiated from a higher-level, failsafe controller, then before
activation, this control can shut down the drive via the "standard" operational device
functions. The system integrator must supply and implement these higher-level functions -
and they will not be discussed here.
WARNING
Danger due to coast down of the motor
When the "Two-channel firing pulse inhibit" function is activated while the machine is rotating,
then the motor coasts down if it has not yet come to a stop.
Incorrect use can result in death, serious injury or substantial material damage.
• Apply the appropriate protective measures to avoid danger to people resulting from the
motor coasting down after the power supply has been disconnected.
