9.4.1.7

Checking the DC-link reactor

● Remove any dust deposits.
● If there are leaks at the screw positions, retighten the cable entries. If there are still leaks,

replace the O-rings.

● If the DC link reactor becomes too hot at any particular location, then the color will change

at this location. Identify the cause of the overheating. If necessary, get in touch with your

Siemens contact.

9.4.1.8

Checking the cooling circuit

● Check the entire cooling circuit for leaks. If you find a leak in a pipe coupling, tighten the nut

by a ¼ turn

● Compare the measured conductivity value with the permissible conductivity value for the

system (≤ 0.6 µS/cm). You must replace the ion exchanger if this value is close to 1 µS / cm.

● Check the water level in the compensating chamber of the deionized water circuit. If the

level is too low, add some more water. If the level is too high, drain some water until the level

is correct.

9.5.1

Replacing a fan

CAUTION

Injury caused by rotating fan
If the converter is equipped with a temperature-controlled fan, the fan can run on even if the

power section is switched off. You can be injured if you touch the fan.
● Wait until the fan has shut down.
