TLS modes and TLS functions
P240 must be "1" for all TLS modes.
Use the SIMOCRANE CeCOMM diagnostic program to set this parameter.
The relevant information can be found in Chapters:
● Commissioning TLS (hydraulic system) (Page 350)
● Commissioning TLS (hydraulic system with electric drive) (Page 362)
● Commissioning TLS (skew damping with electric drive only) (Page 367)
7.2.1
"Cylinder jogging" mode
This TLS mode (mode_comm) allows cylinders to be moved individually. The cylinders can be
moved singly in jogging mode during commissioning or servicing.
Note
Change "cylinder jogging" mode only when the cylinders are stationary or the output values will
change abruptly. Abrupt changes in output values must be avoided.
An "extend/retract" bit is provided for each cylinder (see Table Table 4-11 STW2_PLC_TLS
(Page 92)). You can set bits for several cylinders simultaneously. These cylinders will then also
move simultaneously.
No internal cylinder position limits are monitored in this operating mode.
WARNING
"Move" signal - position controllers of all cylinders
As soon as the "move" signal is set, the position controllers of all cylinders become active and
are controlled regardless of the selection of individual cylinders.
Interlocking the status bits "a_out" to "d_out" and "a_in" to "d_in" (extend and retract cylinders)
in the PLC with the corresponding control bits "a_in_comm" to "d_in_comm" and
"a_out_comm" to "d_out_comm" makes it possible to move only the selected cylinder.
The following example describes how cylinder A is extended.
