Only one operating mode can be selected for each drive at any time. The operating mode is
selected by the PLC by setting the appropriate operating mode bit.
WARNING
Danger to life as a result of incorrect or modified parameterization
Incorrect parameter assignment can cause machines to malfunction, which can lead to
injuries or death.
● Protect the parameterization (parameter assignments) against unauthorized access.
● Respond to possible malfunctions by applying suitable measures (e.g. EMERGENCY
STOP or EMERGENCY OFF).
WARNING
Danger to life due to unexpected machine movement
When the TRAVEL control bit is set, unexpected movements which may result in injury or
death can occur after the crane has reached the stationary state.
Cancellation by the sway control may be triggered by the control bits RELEASE,
BRAKE_CLOSED, CONTROLLED_STOP, and all limit switches.
The TRAVEL control bit must be reset by the crane control system in the event of an
EMERGENCY STOP or cancellation of continued travel.
The TRAVEL control bit must be activated by a deliberate action.
WARNING
Danger to life due to load movements
Movement (oscillation) of the load or spreader can occur due to movement of the crane axes
or due to wind. The load deflection (spreader) is not taken into account by the AddOn
technology package. Take the deflection and oscillation of the load or spreader into account
in the control of the AddOn technology package.
6.2.1
Manual mode (MAN)
6.2.1.1
Method of operation
In manual mode (MAN), the velocity is specified manually from a higher-level control system.
The trolley is accelerated or decelerated to the set velocity in such a way that the load sway has
been eliminated when the set velocity is reached.
If required, obstacles which can be defined within the working area of the crane can be taken
into account. Obstacles can be defined during commissioning, transferred from the PLC, or
learned internally during travel.
The different control options available in this operating mode are described in Chapter Control
(Page 150).
