Defining the telegram
The data exchange between the SIMATIC S7 and SIMOTION takes place via PROFINET. The
telegram used is the standard telegram in accordance with PROFIdrive profile V4.1 [Ref. 3].
Twenty function blocks (e.g. FB_CommonPLCToAddOn, FB_CommonAddOnToPLC) are
programmed in the AddOn technology to process communication telegrams (or interconnect
and convert signals) between SIMATIC S7 and SIMOTION.
In addition, the corresponding function blocks and data blocks in the application projects for
defined communication are available to users on the DVD.
5.6
Copying the address list
In SIMOTION, all communication with the I/O or with the master is performed via the address
list. An I/O array with process data must be created for receiving and sending for each function
module participating in communication.
The required I/O arrays are preferably copied from the application project to the user project
(with the Basic Technology).
