8.3.1 Drive system
Components
Segment motors are designed for operation with a SINAMICS S120 drive system. You
can use Motor Modules in the "booksize" or "chassis" format.

The number of components required depends on the specific application. Examples for
integrating coupled stator segments in a system are provided in this chapter.

The integration of one stator segment in a system is shown by way of example in the
following diagram:
• Connecting Temp-S and Temp-F via TM120
• Optional encoder connection:
– Incremental encoder (sin/cos 1 V

– Absolute encoder (EnDat with 1 V
