WARNING
Risk of electric shock
Voltage is induced at the power connections of the stator segment each time a rotor
segment moves with respect to a stator segment - and vice versa. There is a risk of
electric shock if you touch the power connections.
Furthermore, in case of a phase short-circuit, short-circuit braking torques can be
generated, which prevent free movement of the rotor segment .
•
Insulate the open power connections properly.
Note
Observe tightening torque
•
Carefully comply with the specified tightening torques and the specifications
regarding the mounting system provided in this document.
Procedure
1.
Prepare the mounting surfaces of the components to be mounted and the machine as
follows:
Carefully remove machining debris, e.g. metal chips, dirt and foreign particles.
2.
Insulate uncovered power connections.
3.
Mount the carrier wheel for the rotor segments.
4.
Note Chapter "Requirements for mounting the rotor segments (Page 106)" and mount
the rotor segments on the carrier wheel for the rotor segments according to Chapter
"Mounting rotor segments (Page 109)".
5.
Mount the stator segments according to Chapter "Mounting stator segments
(Page 120)".
6.
Check that the rotor can rotate freely. Ensure that all foreign bodies are completely
removed from the air gap.
7.
Connect the coolant lines.
8.
Connect the power cables and the signal cables.
