Axial force between a stator segment and a rotor segment
The maximum axial force of attraction occurs if the stator segment and the rotor
segment overlap to some extent.
The maximum axial force of attraction on a stator segment when assembling stator and
rotor with a rated air gap is approximately 1000 N.
The precise value depends on how the segments are aligned with respect to one another
and, for example, when tilting or canting, can deviate from the 1000 N mentioned above.
If you assemble several stator segments and rotor segments at the same time, then the
maximum force of attraction is a multiple number of times higher.

Specifications for mounting stator and rotor segments
Mounting system
Observe the following points when mounting stator segments and rotor segments to
machine axis assemblies:
•
Only use new, unused metric fixing screws.
•
Take into account the property class of the fixing screws according to the following
table in Section "Screw material and tightening torques".
•
Ensure that the mounting surfaces are free of oil and grease.
•
Take into account the screw-in relationships of the fixing screws for stator segments
and rotor segments as shown in the following diagrams.
