Attaching the output elements
Balancing
The rotors are balanced dynamically. The motors are equipped with a smooth shaft as
standard. For shaft extensions with feather keys, the balancing method at the DE of the shaft
is indicated as follows:
•
Shaft with key: full-key balancing (an "F" is stamped on the shaft face)
•
Shaft with key: half-key balancing (an "H" is stamped on the shaft face)
Attaching the output components
Do as follows when attaching the output components:
•
Make sure that the balancing method of the output components is correct. The output
components must be balanced to balance quality grade G2.5 according to ISO 1940.
Rotary forces that exceed this are not permissible. Note that rotary forces can also occur
with coupling outputs.
•
If an output component is shorter than the feather key with balancing type "H", you must
remove the section of the feather key that protrudes from the shaft contour and output
component to maintain the balance quality.
•
Fit/remove the output components only using suitable equipment, as described below:
–
Use the threaded hole in the shaft extension (front).
–
If necessary, heat up the output components.
–
When removing the output components, use a washer to maintain the centering in the
shaft extension.
WARNING
Danger to life if rotating output components have no guard
Exposed rotating output components can result in severe injury.
•
Cover all exposed output components using an appropriate guard.
①
Intermediate washer/disk (to protect the centering in the shaft extension)
