4.1 Shipment and packaging
Checking the delivery for completeness
Upon receipt of the delivery, check immediately whether the components delivered are in
accordance with the accompanying documents. Siemens will not accept any claims relating
to components missing from delivery and which are submitted at a later date.
• Report any apparent transport damage to the delivery agent immediately.
• Report any apparent defects/missing components to the appropriate Siemens office
immediately.
For detailed information about the components included in the package, see Chapter "Scope
of delivery (Page 21)".
4.2 Transportation and storage
WARNING
Death, severe injury and/or material damage resulting from lifting and transporting
Improper lifting and transport procedures, unsuitable or damaged lifting gear and load
handling equipment can cause death, severe injury and /or material damage.
• Only use suitable and intact lifting gear and load handling equipment which comply with
the specific national regulations.
• Only use lifting gear and load handling equipment which are suitable for the weight of
the motor. The weight of the motor appears on the rating plate.
• Do not attach any additional loads to lifting gear and load handling equipment.
• Only use suitable strap-guiding systems rope guides and spreading devices for lifting and
transporting the motor.
