Changing the printer properties
The HMI device can print on local printers or network printers. You can print hardcopies and
reports on a network printer. Line printing of alarms is only possible on a local printer.
You can find the list of current printers and required settings for HMI devices in the Internet
at Printers approved for SIMATIC Panels and Multi Panels
The Control Panel is open.
Procedure
Proceed as follows:
1.
Open the "Printer Properties" dialog with the Printer icon.
2.
Select a printer under "Printer Language".
3.
Select the port for the printer under "Port".
4.
Enter the network address of the printer "Network", based on the selected port.
5.
Select a paper format under "Paper Size".
6.
Set the orientation of the printout under "Orientation":
–
"Portrait" for portrait
–
"Landscape" for landscape
7.
Set the print quality:
–
To print in draft quality, select "Draft Mode".
–
To print in color, select "Color".
8.
Confirm your entries with "OK".
Result
The settings for the printer have now been changed.
