A Note symbol is displayed at the bottom right in the display if the data has not yet been
transferred to the RF-MANAGER:

Transfer data to RF-MANAGER

You can only transfer the data directly scanned from the tag to the RF-MANAGER.
If you want to transfer data to RF-MANAGER, select the "OK" button.
The data then disappears from the user interface of the SIMATIC RF310M.
The Note symbol is displayed as long as the data is still present on the RF310M (e.g. also if

a WLAN is not currently present).

Read Data

You can edit the data using the "Data" button and transfer it again to the scanned RFID tag.
The following chapters contain detailed information about this.

Note
Changes in data only affect the tag
If you edit data in the data editor of the SIMATIC RF310M, it is not directly transferred to the

RF-MANAGER. However, you can transfer this data to the tag using a write operation. If you

subsequently scan the tag again, this data can also be transferred to the RF-MANAGER.

Delete data

You can reject any data that has been incorrectly acquired via the "Delete" button.

9.3.2

Edit tag data

9.3.2.1

The data editor

Prerequisites for working in the data editor

In order to process tag data, a tag must have been scanned by the SIMATIC RF310M device

and its tag ID must be indicated in the display.
The transponder data can be edited in the editor window in hex, ASCII or decimal format.

You can toggle between the two in the "Tools > Settings" menu (see Settings (Page 83)).
