Installing the Device

2.3.1 Mounting the Device to a Rack

Forced airflow is not required. However, any increase in airflow will result in a

reduction of ambient temperature and improve the long-term reliability of all

equipment mounted in the rack space.

Note

For detailed dimensions of the device with mounting hardware installed, refer to

"Dimension Drawings (Page 36)"

Mounting the Device to a Rack

For installations, the RUGGEDCOM MX5000 can be equipped with adapters pre-

installed at the front or rear of the chassis. Additional adapters are provided to

further secure the device in high-vibration or seismically active locations.
