Removing and installing drives in the front drive cage 

Requirement 

1.

 

The device is opened. 

2.

 

The drive fan has been removed and its adapter plug pulled. 

Procedure - removing the drive cage  

 

1.  Remove all drive trays from the 

removable drive bay. 

 

2.  Remove the retaining screws

and

. 

3.  Remove the cable ties 

③

. 

4.  Then disconnect the power cable 

and the data cable 

④

 from the 

installed removable drive bays. 

5.  Lift the drive cage

 slightly at 

the points indicated by the arrows 

and slide it approximately 1 cm 

toward the power supply. 

6.  Carefully lift the drive cage 

⑤

 to 

the top out of the device and put it 

down.
