Limit test of numerical values
A tag can be configured with limits. If you enter a value outside these limits it will not be
accepted, for example, "80" is rejected if the configured limit is "78". If an alarm window is
configured, a system alarm is output on the HMI device and the original value is
displayed again.

Decimal places for numerical values
The number of decimal places can be specified for a numerical text box. The number of
decimal places is checked when you enter a value in this type of text box.

Decimal places in excess of the limit are ignored.

Empty decimal places are filled with "0".
Requirement
●
A text box has been selected.
●
The screen keyboard is displayed.
Procedure
1.
Enter the relevant value.
2.
To discard the input, press <ESC>.
If you have discarded the entry, the text box remains empty or the original value is
displayed.
3.
To confirm the entry, press <ENTER>.
The value has been entered or changed.

Displaying infotext
Infotext provides additional information and operating instructions. Infotext can be configured
for a screen or operating object. The infotext of an I/O field may contain, for example,
information on the value to be entered.
