General information about paying with debit card/Giro-e
The Giro-e function of the charging station supports payment with a debit card. This type of
payment does not require a registration with the operator of the charging station.
You can find the current terms of use of Giro-e here (
).
Explanation of pUID
pUID means
P
ayment
U
ser
Id
entifikation
The pUID is assigned once by Giro-e for each charging request and is not used again. This
means the ID cannot be assigned twice.
During invoicing, the pUID is used as SEPA-ID. Each charging process is therefore unique and
is only assigned once in the invoices and withdrawals.
The pUID has the following characteristics:
•
Alphanumeric
•
10 digits
•
Upper and lower case
•
No use of characters that may be confused with other characters, such as zero and the
capital letter 'O', lowercase 'L', etc.
The first character defines the syntax definition, the second character the addressed receiver.
This means the available number of characters is 56
8
per receiver, that is,
96 717 311 574 016 combinations.
Once this supply of characters is exhausted, a new layout can be defined using the first digit
of the pUID. For example, an 11-digit syntax with a greater supply of characters.
