Operation modes and settings

Notifications

In response to certain events, the measurement device can both list them in the 

Event Table

 

and 

send

messages

 

about them.

Events - Notifications

By means of the option 

Voltage event

, the value limits set are activated for the purpose of sending event

messages. It is also possible to send messages 

cyclically

 or in response to when the 

free(memory) space 

falls

below a minimum set by the user.

Using the option 

UDP data storage state

, the measurement device can cyclically send messages about

concluded data measurements. The message contains the device ID as well as information about the
measurements concluded, so that in the case of successive measurements, it is possible to determine whether
new measured data is available for retrieval. The User Datagram Protocol (abbreviated UDP) is a minimalist, 
connectionless network protocol belonging to the Transport layer of the Internet protocol family. 

The message recipient must be specified:

IP-address

: Address of the PC which is to receive the message.

Port

: Recipient target port

Time interval

: Sending interval in minutes. The specifications are made either by means of the pop-down

list or by manual entry.

Example: Sending a message every 10 min:

IP-Address: 10.0.2.10; Port: 1205; Time interval: 10 min

Note

UDP is also used by the supplemental program 

 Auto-Transfer

. For this reason, the transfer

program is able to directly adopt the device information (name, serial number and IP-address).
