Direct Connection of a SICAM MMU to a SICAM I/O Unit 7XV5673 and
Connection to the Control Center
You can use a Y-cable and the internal Ethernet switch of the SICAM I/O Unit 7XV5673 to connect the SICAM
MMU to the SICAM I/O Unit 7XV5673. The second connector of the Y-cable enables you to connect this device
combination to the control center via an external Ethernet switch. The following figure illustrates the cabling of
the devices and the possible transmission protocols.
