Purging the Dynamic MAC Address List

This table provides the following information:
Parameter
Description
MAC Address
The MAC address learned by the switch.
VLAN ID
The VLAN identifier of the VLAN upon which the MAC address operates.
Slot
Synopsis:
sm, lm1, lm2, lm3, lm4, lm5, lm6
The slot containing the module including the port.
Port
The port on which the MAC address has been learned.
Type
Synopsis:
static, dynamic
How the MAC address has been learned by the switch:
• STATIC: The address has been learned as a result of static MAC address table
configuration or some other management activity and cannot be automatically unlearned
or relearned by the switch.
• DYNAMIC: The address has been automatically learned by the switch and can be
automatically unlearned.
CoS
Synopsis:
N/A, normal, medium, high, crit
The Class Of Service (CoS) that is assigned to frames carrying this address as a source or
destination address.
If a MAC address is not listed, do the following:
• Configure the MAC address learning options to dynamically detect the MAC addresses of other devices on the
network. For more information, refer to
Section 5.33.3, “Configuring MAC Address Learning Options”
• Configure the address on the device as a static MAC address. For more information, refer to
.

Purging the Dynamic MAC Address List
To purge the dynamic MAC address list of all entries, do the following:
1. Navigate to
switch
»
mac-tables
and click
purge-mac-table
in the menu. The
Trigger Action
form
appears.
