Modem Port
The RX1100P can optionally be equipped with a V.90 Modem connection for PPP (Point-to-Point Protocol)
connections. For information about how to configure and operate the modem, refer to the
ROX User Guide
for the
RX1100P.

The modem card is equipped with a standard RJ11 telephone port. The following is the pin-out description for the

NOTE
This product meets the applicable Industry Canada technical specifications.
The Ringer Equivalence Number is an indication of the maximum number of devices allowed to be
connected to a telephone interface. The termination on an interface may consist of any combination of
devices subject only to the requirement that the sum of the RENs of all the devices does not exceed
five.

Serial Ports
The RX1100P supports serial cards with RJ45 serial ports. Serial RJ45 ports can be run in RS232, RS485 or
RS422 mode.
