5.4.16 Setting up the logging printer
The logging printer prints information about events and actions related to them.
The information that is printed is similar to the information maintained in the history
browser. The printer is usually connected to COM3. If you change this setting, en-
sure that the new COM port is not already being used.
MT8001 COM ports
COM1 – ActiveSync port (dedicated)
COM2 – Touch Screen port (dedicated)
COM3 – Logging printer port
COM4 – CK1142/43, MK7022 or NK8223
COM5 – Open
COM6 – Open
To set up the logging printer, do the following:
1.
Select the Com port in the MT8001

Diagnostic Node tab (recommended: 3).
2.
Adjust the default settings (if required) to match those of the connected printer.
3.
Set the baud rate.
5.4.17 Leave everything else alone
All of the configuration options that can be customised have been listed in the pre-
vious sections. Changing options outside of the scope of what is discussed in this
document is not recommended.
