•
Check the size of the PDA.
•
Select I.I. full field view format.
•
No Cu filtering in the beam path.
•
Set the service switch on board D100 to "Service" at the PDA sensor (the service lamp
switches on).
•
Release fluoro and after setting the kV, select "DL-Auto Stop" on the tableside control ;
then end fluoro (This is only necessary, if the PDA sensor is still not visible:
•
Place 6 mm Cu filtration in the beam path and release FL again (at the previously
attained kV values set).
•
The PDA sensor is visible on the monitor; end FL.
•
Adjust the brightness and contrast setting on the monitor until the sensor is clearly visible
•
Measure the round inner measurement field and compare it with the standard value
•
Set switch S1at the PDA sensor back to the starting position on board D100 (service
lamp goes out).
•

Standards table for PDA sizes on the 44 cm Simomed monitor :
•
If the size of the PDA does not fall within the tolerance values, proceed as follows:
- Loosen the set screws on the PDA optics.
- Change the size of the PDA by rotating the optics (plastic ring).
- Release FL and compare the PDA size again with the standards table.
- Repeat this process as many times as necessary to attain the specified PDA size.
- Tighten the set screws.
- Reset service switch S1 on board D100 at the PDA sensor to the starting position (the
service lamp goes out).
