Checking the Dose Rate
D. Setting the Water Equivalent Take Over

Select
Water Equivalent
in the "Polydoros .. -Service/Adjustment/" window.
Preparation (measurement configuration)

Fill a phantom with exactly 20 cm of water and position it in the beam.
•
Select the I.I. full field view format.
•
Switch
ON
fluoroscopy in the "Water Equivalent" window.
•
Select the
"Start-Button"
to calculate the new correction factor. Fluoroscopy will be
switched off again.

The system must set 70 kV + 1.5/-2 kV as the exposure voltage.

Select
OK
to save the correction factor and exit the Water Equivalent window.

Checking the dose / image

When checking the dose/ image, the tube housing cover must be installed and the Uro
insert removed.
•
Insert the 2.1 mm precision radiation filter in the collimator, select 70 kV.
Remarks:
The nominal values do not include the attenuation of the measurement chamber and the
grid. The following values should be measured.
In case of deviations, perform the dose rate setting for DR in accordance with pages 6-13
through 6-16.
This setting should be performed only in countries which man-
date a limitation of the skin dose rate.
