Selecting Pipe Class
Pipe Class is a pre-loaded set of default pipe sizes for various ASA and metric pipes. If the
intended pipe is standard the user may select this function to pre-load necessary pipe data,
otherwise enter data manually using [Pipe O.D.], [Pipe Material] and [Wall Thickness].
1.
Press the <Right Arrow> to select [Pick Pipe Class]. Press <Right Arrow> again and
scroll to desired Pipe Class.

Press <ENTER> to select.

Enter ID directly if known. Pipe OD will be automatically adjusted.

Refer to CC129 Material table to determine CC129 pipe damping material thickness.

Pre-programmed Pipe Size and relevant pipe parameters will appear in menu cells. Press
<Right Arrow> and scroll to desired pipe size. Press <ENTER>. Enter dimensions
manually if pre-programmed dimensions do not match application.
Note
The DN sizes listed in the [Select Pipe Size] menu option list are referenced to DIN Table
2448. After selecting pipe size, check pipe OD and wall thickness for correct dimensions.

Press the <Left Arrow> and return to the [Channel Setup] menu.
Selecting CC129 Thickness
1.
After selecting the appropriate sensor size (see Sensor Installation) determine the
corresponding damping material final thickness using the CC129 thickness table and
transfer entry to menu cell.

Press the <Left Arrow> and return to the main menu.
Selecting Pipe Configuration
1.
Scroll down to [Pipe Config] and press the <Right Arrow>.
2.
Select a configuration and number of pipe diameters that approximates the conditions
upstream of your sensor mounting location. (Refer to definitions below.)
