Part 3. Configuring your PCs as DHCP clients
For each computer that you want to configure to receive IP information automatically, configure the TCP/IP
properties to
Obtain an IP address automatically
(the actual text may vary depending on your operating
system).
Modifying Address Pools
1. Select
Lan
>
DHCP Server
.
2. On
the
DHCP Server Configuration
page select
for the entry to modify.
The
DHCP Server Pool - Modify
page displays:
When modifying an address pool, you are
only
allowed to:
•
Change the domain name associated with the pool.
•
Exclude IP addresses within its range from distribution. To excluded an IP address, enter it in the
fields provided and click
[Add]
.
If you want to change other attributes, you must delete the pool and create a new one.
3. After entering your changes, click
[Apply]
. A confirmation page displays to indicate that the pool has
been modified successfully.
4. Click
[Close]
to return to the
DHCP Server Configuration
page.
5. Select
Admin
>
Commit & Reboot
and click
[Save]
to save your changes to permanent storage.
Viewing Current DHCP Address Assignments
To view a table of all current IP address assignments, select
Lan
>
DHCP Server
and click
[Address Table]
.
The
DHCP Server Address Table
is as below.
