Instructions for Use Carina SW 3.n

Setting the O

2

 supply

Carina has been set to HPO mode by the manufac-
turer.
For LPO mode, configure LPO, see page 78.

Dräger recommends the use of an external oxygen 
monitor add to the patient circuit to measure the 
actual oxygen concentration. Carina displays the 
concentration set by the user, but does not denote 
the actual concentration delivered to the patient.

Placing the oxygen sensor 

The oxygen sensor for the oxygen monitor should 
be placed directly at the patient connection port of 
Carina, before the mask or tube.
